A manufacturer of broths, flavorings, and functional proteins faced the challenges of substantially expanding an operating facility without impacting production. The client contracted EAD to provide a turn-key solution to their facility expansion. The scope of the project included the design for a building addition, site pavement reconstruction, the addition of new production lines of equipment, sanitary piping systems, process automation, clean-in-place systems, electrical power distribution upgrades, and a tie-in to the existing utilities.
The EAD team worked closely with the client to understand not only how they make their product, but also to understand the commercial and operational challenges they faced on a daily basis. The completed projects resulted in a facility that exceeded the requirements of the client’s food safety plan and more than doubled the production rate of the existing process.
