EAD helped a leading animal health company update its Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for process unit operations to a modern platform. The integrated system collects critical data and provides remote access for monitoring. This reduces the frequency of physically accessing the plant’s clean rooms, which in turn reduces the risk of contamination. An engineered solution such as this adds another layer of protection to the client’s administrative controls and PPE requirement.
EAD provided additional functionality for historical data collection, remote access and modified recipe management. The project also included new hardware engineering and procurement of new operator terminals to replace the outdated operator interfaces in the clean rooms. This new hardware allowed the plant to integrate all of the control systems into the plant network architecture.
Working closely with plant staff, EAD installed, tested and validated each processing unit individually without affecting the operations of the other units.
