Quarterly Trooper Recognition: Katie Mosbacker
Each Quarter, EAD recognizes three employees for living out our values. These three employees have made a significant contribution and demonstrated our values in one of the three categories: Customer Service, Internal Customer Service, or Process Improvement. This month we recognize Katie Mosbacker for her customer service by living out our value of being “open to change”.
As a Project Controller, Katie is often the face of our organization to our client. She is the one that helps the two-organization mesh together successfully. EAD typically utilizes Zoom Video conferencing, but unfortunately our client’s firewall did not allow Zoom to be used. Katie heard that our clients were traveling offsite to attend meetings. Obviously, this was a nuisance for our client, and Katie thought to act.
That action was to work with our client’s IT department and derive a solution for getting both IT departments on the same page. This solution was Skype Video Calls. After figuring our what was easiest for our client, Katie got Skype accounts set up for EAD’s team and coached them up to speed.
As this project continues to go on, Katie’s contribution made an immediate impact on the communication of the project. Katie’s problem solving got us thinking, why not do this in our project kickoff meetings? Our clients hire us to problem solve and take on their headaches, why not minimize all the difficulties they could possibly face?
Katie’s client advocacy is the reason she was the winner for our Customer Service Trooper Award, and an asset to our team.
